The bicentennial year

“The bicentennial year”: Good or bad?

The bicentennial year was a year very wait for all Chilean, because in this year many people are excited because they believed that Chile be 200 years of independency but they are wrong because are 200 years since the first governing board. But it doesn’t matter, if we think about all that happened this year, good and bad things but I prefer to believe that it was not all that bad.

On February 27th all Chilean we were awakened with a big earthquake I believe that day is difficult to erase of the mind, because all that happened that dawn are very strong for all we, in special due the seaquake that affect many beach of the sixth and seventh region but with the help of many countries and businessman the country can to overcome to this event.

After on March 11th the new president came to the “Moneda” and this day was the change of command in Valparaiso, I believe that this day was well despite of the aftershock that this day are very strong.

The August 5th on the night all Chilean listen in the news that in Copiapó in a mine 33 miners are trapped. Since this moment all are Chilean watched the television to know about them, I remember the happiness when I known that they are well and how the optimism and thought of Chilean change and the only that we want are that the miners come out to the exterior. But the happiness was complete the rescue’s day on October 13th when all miners come out and the principal that they are well and in general they have a good health.

In conclusion I believe that year in something aspects was bad but I’m more hopeful and I want to say that this year was good in many aspects and principally like the Chilean we could overcome to all happened. I think that this year can be better and in general was good obviously no always but if we put all things that happened in a balance I believe that good things are above the bad things, is only believe that all can be better. Why not believe that?

Travels =)

Hello, today I’m going to talk about travels.

First I like travel anywhere, the only sensation of travel it’s good to me, this sensation of know something new and another place is sensational. Surely that I like stay at home too, but like everything else in life, one must balance things and for this reason I love to travel and stay at home in my beautiful city.

Generally I’m anxious and excited before of travel because I believe that is a wonderful experience to know another country and his culture and obviously to prove his typical food. I prefer to go to places that I don’t know because I think that is better go a place that you don’t know that to go always to same place.

I don’t have favorite places to go like cities, beach, resorts, etc. I like to know different places. If there is some to like me is know other countries. I almost always do the suitcase to last hour because I like feel the adrenaline hahaha.

I remember when I was to Brazil in January 2007 specifically to “Foz de Iguazú” because it was a beautiful travel that I done with my mother, in this travel I met people very nice because we gone in a tour and stay all the day with them was an opportunity to we could meet better. In Foz I knew the waterfalls I remember that I was surprised and too knew “the bird park” in this park there are many birds from parrots to flamingos.


If I had to recommend a place to go would be “Foz de Iguazú” because is a beautiful city and there are many sites to visit.

Movies :D

Hello people!! Today I’m going to talk about a topic that I like, this topic is movies.

I don’t have a favorite kind of films to watch, but I prefer horror, love, and comedy films, but if a movie is good I don’t have problem in watch this film independent of the kind of film.

I like watch the movies in my home with my family, friends or alone, of course that I like go to the cinema to watch a movie but it is only for the movies that I love, for example Harry Potter and Twilight saga. I think that watch movies in your home it’s very funny, because you can stop or back the movie if you don’t understand some or prepare pop corn or other things to eat like potato chips, sodas, cookies, etc.


I enjoyed watching movies like Harry Potter, Twilight saga and other films like “UP” even Cinderella, I remember that I loved this movie when I was a child and after I believed that I was Cinderella hahaha.

There are two films that left a trace upon to me those films are: “Romeo and Juliet” and “Taken” (in Spanish: “Búsqueda implacable”). The first movie do that I can believe in the love and how for those younger fight for them love despite of the opposition of them parents. And the other film is because is surprising like the father of the protagonist does all for save her daughter of the danger in that she was.

Learn while you sleep?


Hello everyone, today I’m going to talk about a myth of the brain: “Learn while you sleep”.

Well I think that if I could learn while I sleep would awesome, because during the day sometimes I don’t reach to do all that I have to do and in the night while I sleep I could listen the classes and learn more things of the university and so I wouldn’t feel guilty for sleep because I would be learning though this is something difficult because I don’t think that while I sleep I can learn because in this moment the brain is resting.

Before read this paper I listened something to respect but I had not paid attention because I didn’t care, but when I read about this myth in the paper I found very interesting because sometimes I fall asleep listen music but I believe that I don’t learn the songs while I’m sleeping. I think that in the paper this myth is explained in full and as through the experiments, researchers could prove in different people that this affirmation is a myth because people don’t learn or remember what they had read while they slept.

I agree with the Dr. Maldonado to respect this myth because is stranger that your brain can learn while you’re sleeping, is right that the brain has some of activities because during the night everyone has dreams and in these moments the brain has activities but is rare that this myth is true. I agree with him respect to sleep modifies the memorization of things learned just before falling asleep but it doesn’t allow learn while one sleep.

Stress :/


Hello everyone today I’m going to talk about stress and the symptoms that you can help to identify it.

First I understand the stress is a clinical condition because is a feeling that's happened when we react to particular events. It's like the body is prepare to meet a tough situation with energy, strength, stamina, and heightened alertness.

The common symptoms that might help people identify may be irritability, head ache, feeling lonely, depressed, stomach disorders, rapid heartbeat, irregular sleep and eat too much or not enough. The stress doesn’t have treatment but we can do things to decrease the stress for example: read a book, do exercise, in general learn to relax and principally relax our mind.

I believe that the stress affect more people to work in jobs with high demand of time for example doctors (especially E.R staff), polices, school teacher, etc.

The stress can affect the productivity at work in many things, for example lack of perseverance, delays in the arrival at work, decreased effort, etc.

In my opinion the common causes of stress are overworking, lack of time and in general
the society who lives too rushed. People don’t have time to do other activities like, exercises, go to the theatre, read a book or simply sit and relax for a good time and listen music, because this society don’t allow to people relax for a time.

The most typical ways of dealing with it is realize activities that allow relaxing and taking time, ideally that people at work can do other things apart from thinking about work.

Healthy lifestyle :)

Hello everybody, today I’m going to talk about the healthy lifestyle in people.

The healthy lifestyle in these days is something complicated because this society had many “temptations” for examples the fast food, the alcohol and the sedentary, these habits do that are difficult to people have healthy lifestyles, but I have a goods news, in these days is possible to have a healthy lifestyle and the more important to you are know How is it possible?

First the habits of a person with a healthy lifestyle are principally eats healthy foods, for example fruits, vegetables and food light in fat, cholesterol and sodium and drinks many water. Obviously another healthy lifestyle would be to practice sports or exercise thirty minutes ideally three times to week. Other healthy lifestyle is don’t drink alcohol and don’t smoke. Principally these are the habits of a person with a healthy lifestyle.

A person with healthy lifestyle could tell to other her habits and to do that other follows her healthy lifestyle so it could reduce the obesity and other diseases how high blood pressure or diabetes.
I think they go on holiday to the beach or to the mountain because in these places they can be relax or do some sports.

I believe that I have some healthy lifestyles how eat healthy and I don’t drink alcohol and I don’t smoke and I drink water but I must to say that I don’t practice sports only sports that I do is walk everyday to go to the University so I do some of exercise.

My favourite get-away :)

Hello people, today I talk about my favourite get-away.

Well, my favourite get-away is Iloca I believe that everyone heard about this beach because of the earthquake :(. Iloca it is in seventh region near of Curicó and it is a beauty beach and it’s very relax.

This place is special to me because since
I was child I've been to this beach and for this reason it’s very special to me also it’s a place where you can relax and you can rest as in that place there isn’t much noise and the more important that is a pretty place yet.

You can find in this place tranquility and you can do many things, there are different places to visit for example: near of Iloca is Duao in this place you can go to buy fresh fish and prepare it in your house :), the other place you can visit is Lipimávida there you can buy canned papaya (very delicious).

I go to Iloca in car with my family and generally we go all the summers, the last time that we gone was in january 2010.

We stayed there in a house that we rented, this house was very comfortable and big, was a beauty house. The house was on the seafront and I remember that all the day I saw the sea and its beautiful immensity, really Iloca was a beauty place where you can go.
