Hello my name is María Ignacia Villegas, I’m midwifery student, in the University of Chile, I’m from San Fernando and I have been living here in Santiago for two years, it was a difficult experience but now I’m happy here because I have been studying what I like.
The principal objective for me is to be a great midwife and I can help all the women that need me and of course provide care to all babies that come to this world and help them all the possible and this way to avoid the possible damage for them.
My experience with the earthquake was horrible; I was in my house in San Fernando on the second floor and I had to go down the stairs quickly, because I couldn’t be there. My reaction as a future midwife was to think in all babies who were in the hospital and in all women that were there too.
